I was there in the early 60s because I met a girl high in the Smokies. a native from up high. I saw her, and she saw me, and the fates took us together for the next 60 years until the cancer came, and I had to lay her to her rest. What a creature. It was like the Lord had created a perfect girl and hidden her in the Smokies. For 60 years we roamed the US and Canada, but I had to lay her to her rest high in the Smokies. I would rather have kept her. But the Lord demanded that she return. I am alone. Lord, I miss her, please let me see her again.

A first cousin of mine lives in Kalispell and several years ago I flew up to spend some time with him. He took me to Glacier Park and it was a great time for me eating in the huge Lodge and watching the wildlife. We hope to make the drive up from Dallas to see the National Parks on the way.

What an amazing portrayal of these beautiful Great Smoky Mountains! Being a native to these mountains l recognize every single place from all my years of hiking and wanderings, except for some of the water photos since there are so many streams and rivers. Great job!
